Communicating Carbon Pricing Regional Workshop (LAC)

Stakeholder and public support are critical for an enduring and robust carbon pricing policy. How jurisdictions communicate their carbon pricing policy plays a key role in creating and maintaining that support. Building on the recent PMR/CPLC report “Guide to Communicating Carbon Pricing", the PMR Secretariat, with the Government of Costa Rica and the Ministry of Energy & Environment (MINAE) held a regional workshop on communicating carbon pricing in the LAC region. The training targeted policymakers in LAC countries and was held in Spanish. A total of 28 participants attended from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and Peru. Regional workshops for other regions will follow in early 2020.
